About Jennifer Hnat (pronounced “not”)

My extensive personal health journey has allowed me to gain great insight and depth of knowledge, wisdom and sensitivity to others who face challenges in reaching their own optimal health goals. This desire and dedication to bring health, well-being, and motivation to each individual stems from my own experience.

For over 20 years, “Let food be your medicine” has been the philosophy of Nutrition Coach, Jennifer Hnat.

Jennifer’s passion for optimal diet and healthy lifestyle began in high school when she recognized the solid connection between food and mood.  From that point forward, Jennifer began her personal health journey.  Through study and experimentation, she discovered the varying interactive effects of foods within the body. Upon entering the University of Georgia, Jennifer studied the relationship of nutrition, foods, and health. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Foods and completed her Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) at the University of Georgia. Jennifer’s short-term goals are to complete a Dietetic Internship program, pass the Registered Dietetic exam, work as an Oncology Dietitian at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University (ideally with Dr. Omer Kucuk, Professor, Hematology and Medical Oncology, Professor, Hematology and Medical Oncology, Medical Oncologist), and become a Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO).

Jennifer believes that dietetics and nutrition are cornerstones for improving the State of the World. In 2006, Jennifer was privileged to attended the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, where she attended cutting-edge lectures about chronic disease and well-being. Her adventurous long-term goal is to spearhead a committee to discuss and implement innovative nutrition interventions to address dietary-related oncology issues during the WEF Annual Meeting.

Jennifer’s favorite activities include cycling classes, Pilates, strength training, yoga, running, and snowboarding. She also enjoys creating healthy meals, traveling and experiencing new cultures and food, as well as spending time with her rescue Boxer and Cat.
