ELEVATE: Mindful Eating During Covid Chaos

Learn how to reset your eating behaviors to have a more positive relationship with your body and finally make peace with food. For good.

ELEVATE is a six-week, 60-minute virtual Mindful Eating Class on Zoom created to shift you from struggling to thriving during this unusual time in human history. If your eating habits are whack, you’re not alone.

Each week we’ll explore the key principles of Mindfulness: how it relates to food and how to nourish your body while leading a more mindful life to move through the unknown in a more conscious, ELEVATED manner.

Week 1 Intro: Mindful Eating Essentials + Appetite Awareness
Week 2Breaking Your Emotional Eating/Restrict/Repeat Cycle during Corona and beyond
Week 3 Trusting your IBW {Intelligent Body Wisdom}
Week 4 Deleting Diet Mentality to Create Peace with Food -how to adopt an “all foods can fit” philosophy
Week 5Respecting your Belly & Biochemistry
Week 6 Fearless Mindful Eating – wrapping it all up

Gain powerful mindful life skills to move through this time to learn why you do what you do with food so that you can evolve and ELEVATE your food behaviors during this global health crisis.

Now more than ever we understand that HEALTH IS WEALTH. We have an opportunity to expand our awareness of our current habits and then ELEVATE them to a higher, healthier level.

>>12 people per class on Zoom
Starts this SUNDAY April 5th at 3pm EST then Sunday April 12, 19, 26, May 3, 10
Starts this WEDNESDAY April 8th at 8pm EST then Wednesday April 8, 15, 22, 29, May 6, 13

Please mark your calendars with reminders! You won’t want to miss a minute of our time together!

I hear the collective eating struggles from clients on our virtual appointments. I read about it on social media. We’re eating because we’re bored, anxious, stressed, unsettled, scared, and overwhelmed.

There are jokes and memes about the “Quarantine 15” – possible weight gain due to the stress of our lives shifting significantly during the Covid lockdown. That message is totally inappropriate and insensitive to people struggling with disordered eating behaviors. It can lead to increased body insecurity and additional food fear.

I want you to know that whatever your eating habits might be, they are NORMAL. Please see my earlier blog post HERE.

However, I see this quarantine time as an incredible gift of space, allowing us to dedicate, focus and invest our energy and mindset towards massive self-care. This is a gift to ELEVATE your relationship with your body, your eating patterns and your lifestyle habits. Let’s use this extra time to ELEVATE ourselves to the level of health we desire, deserve and believe we can achieve!

If you read my blog post about what Covid is teaching me about MY eating habits, and you’re aligned with the valuable resource we have right now, DEDICATED TIME, then let’s elevate to 3.0 baby!

I legit can not/HNAT wait to Zoom call with the group and create massive mindful eating expansion!

LET’S ELEVATE!

xx

I first went to Weight Watchers in my early twenty’s with my stepmother. I remember feeling like I was in the wrong place because I didn’t see anyone my age at the meetings. ZERO. Truth is, my relationship with Weight Watchers didn’t last long. The meetings felt shaming to me, like something was inherently wrong […]

Is Weight Watchers (WW) really right for you?

This feels like the most vital blog post I’ve ever written.

Like many of you, I’m feeling a very heavy heart and deep emotions about the national status and inequality we suffer from.

I have not/Hnat addressed racism on my blog or with you, but like so many others, I have had to process my feelings and now it’s time to speak to my community. Actually after learning about the history of racism, I’m ashamed I didn’t bring this topic up sooner.

Many of my are here for mindful + intuitive eating wisdom. But the truth of the matter is that we can not/Hnat do the anti-diet work without also doing the anti-racism work too.

They are in fact deeply and intimately related.

Diet culture is firmly rooted in racism.

Anti-Racism and Anti-Diets: What is the Connection?

First thing’s first: we need fat in our diets.

Thankfully long gone is the fat-fearing diet days of the past with low-fat and fat-free products! Fats are essential for long-term energy, cell growth and communication, organ protection, insulation for your body, nutrient absorption, and hormone production.

So yes, your body definitely requires good fats.

There are numerous diets out there that are either at one extreme of the “fat spectrum” or the other. For example

Getting back to basics: FAT
