SATI is sanskrit for Mindfulness.
Supper Clubs were started as an informal, fun gathering of friends to share their passion for cooking, dining on delicious food, and enjoying good, soulful conversation.
The purpose of the SATi Supper Club is to serve as a positive catalyst for change in your relationship with food and your body in a social setting.
The monthly SSC is crafted so you can practice and cultivate mindful eating skills in a supportive environment, during a time when most people struggle with being mindful. You will build your mindful eating muscle and learn how to dine out with more attention and intention!
Imagine being able to:
enjoy a mindfully curated dining experience
feast on seasonal produce and support a local restaurant
practice a specific mindful eating skill to help you make food your friend
find peace with food and embrace an “all foods can fit” philosophy
The idea to create a gathering of clients and people interested in mindful eating literally popped into my head during Covid, when everyone was forced to stay home and avoid dining out.
This longing to explore and enjoy new or favorite Atlanta restaurants created a desire to organize a group of people interested in or on the mindful eating path, to further build confidence when dining out.
One common challenge I hear from client after client after client is this: “I can practice some mindful eating skills at home, but when I’m with my friends or in a group, my awareness habits go out the window and I feel guilty or beat myself up afterwards.”
I know the feeling all too well.
After dieting for over twenty years and finally making food my friend again, my ultimate goal is to have my life filled with positive and happy food experiences without an ounce of regret!
After committing to a mindful lifestyle – some of my favorite mental impressions are traveling + dining out, experiencing new cuisines and restaurants, and creating a collection of #fondfoodmemories.
We could all use a sprinkle of mindful awareness when it comes to listening to the signs our body is giving us, especially when faced with the distraction of being in a group environment. The SSC is the perfect opportunity to dine out on delicious, nourishing food, engage in fun conversation with new people, and nurture your personal mindful eating habits that help you feel good about yourself!
