CHEERS to YOU FOR BEING A MINDFUL VIP MEMBER!

let's go!  I'm In!

Hey there!

When I created this Mindful Eating Program in 2016 my goal was to thank the {MIT} community with discounts on future experiences. My intention was to create an incentive to continue the mindful eating journey and commitment to self care.  This private {VIP} page is only visible to past program {MIT} participants to register for the program with the special VIP discounts. P.S. I  hope to see you in the Pre-Holiday Guided Mindful Eating Program on Wednesday, November 1, 2023!

My way of saying thanks!

You don't always eat due to hunger cues
and tend to not realize how much
you've eaten.

Your meal starts in the morning and carries on throughout the day like one long feast.  It's time to tame the beast...

All foods can fit on your mindful eating journey. When we eat a lot of "junk" foods that are low in fiber + nutrition it can zap our energy and lead to health issues.  I never review lab work and say "oh you just need more junk food!"  Just sayin'....

We'd love to see your sparkling face again in the program and if you haven't written about your initial experience, we'd love to feature your testimony on our Mindful Success Story page!

A:  Just like exercise, meditation, brushing your teeth, or any other form of self-care, REPETITION is key.  To make long-lasting changes you have to create new pathways in your brain by repeating the same activity over and over again.  Repetition + Consistency is the only way to create sustainable habits.  By practicing your personal Mindful Eating Guidelines {MEG's} over and over again, they become your new default eating patterns.  So yes, clients and participants who repeat the challenge notice that mindful eating becomes EASIER and they learn more new things about themselves + their relationship to food with each program the repeat. They say practice makes perfect but we're going for consistency and sustainable eating skills, not perfection!

Q:  I did the mindful eating PROGRAM so do I really need to do this again?

Learning to be mindful and pay attention to my personal food cues has made me care about what I put in my body. Before it was all about ease and taste. Now it's about listening to what my body really wants and NEEDS. I actually dropped 7 pounds in 2 weeks (Jennifer stresses NOT to use this as a weight loss program, this is a bonus side effect of tuning into her concepts of the Intelligent Belly Wisdom™ and cracking my Unique Food Code™). I've just been thinking about how I eat a lot and have practiced and integrated every mindful eating skill. It's been a total GAME CHANGER so I bought one for my mom as a Christmas gift since she heard about the positive changes with my eating behaviors. After doing the program, now she wants to buy it as a gift for my dad too!

This program has been a total food game changer!

Because I finally, finally have a sense of peace around food.  I can have tempting treats in my house without them calling my name. What a miracle!  I didn't think this could be possible after struggling on/off diets for forty years (ever since I was eight).  It's hard for me to realize that was my life for so long but I'm happy to feel like I'm getting on the other side of the food struggle now.  I wasn't really sure what mindfulness was and didn't think I was born with "intuitive wisdom".  But the challenges started to help me pinpoint habits that I created from the anxiety and emotional triggers that plagued me.  I've learn so much about myself and food during this Challenge!

This 30-Day Challenge is the best gift I've given myself!

This 30-Day Challenge has completely changed the way I eat and approach meals.  For the first time in ages, I sit down at a table with no distractions. I focus entirely on my meal, savoring even the simplest food as if I was eating in a fancy restaurant.  I don't feel obliged to finish what's on my plate anymore.  I stop eating when my stomach tells me it's full (hello Intelligent Belly Wisdom) and pack up any leftovers for my next meal.  By following the hunger cue learned in the Challenge, I feel more energetic and less stuffed after meals!  I feel like I recovered the full pleasure of eating, even for simple foods!

Now I feel energetic and less stuffed after meals!

your writing for day 2 and the emotional eating is me me me. Mindlessly eating the kids snacks around 2PM before they come home and then again right before dinner around 5:30. Mostly not being hungry - mindless snacking on any type of goldfish including the cupcake flavored ones and also crackers, pretzels etc. and it’s very hard to stop it once it starts. By dinner, I’m not hungry but eat the meal anyway. I’m looking forward to understanding this behavior more as we progress through this 30 days. I’ve lost 60lbs three times in my lifetime and I would love to have a healthier relationship w my body, spirit and food. Thank you Jennifer for creating this space for us, I’m so grateful!

I need a refresher!

Let's discover your
eating personality type!

Program participants who have the greatest success are the ones who repeat the Mindful Eating Program and continue to practice their personal Mindful Eating Guidelines they discovered during the Mindful Program!

A:  A LOT depending on when you last did the challenge.  You have 60-DAYS ACCESS to the 30-Day Challenge to maximize your experience and practice your new eating skills during the holiday season.  We've updated the challenge videos and moved to a *NEW* online platform that's super user-friendly with better mobile access.  We've identified 15 key mindful eating skills to help you connect the dots to your Intelligent Belly Wisdom™ (your internal eating GPS) which will help you start to crack your Unique Food Code™ (how your body likes to be nourished).  There are now online Weekly Challenge Journal prompts to help you review your week and stay on track for optimal success during your challenge experience.  New video's with kitchen hacks and food tips are included, I'm sharing my favorite mindful self-care practices, as well as how to navigate the holiday parties in a mindful and non-diet manner that you won't find on social media  And since my mindful eating skills have gotten sloppy as of late, I"m  leading the challenge and will be sharing my personal experience and professional reframes with you during the weekly virtual Q&A in real time.  There is a private Challenge community page for those who like to engage with other challenge members or post picture of what they eat and what they're learning about themselves during the challenge for moral support, but many clients/people opt for the personalized 20-minute challenge check in's so there isn't always a robust community.  Regardless, you can send in questions for the weekly Q&A.  Lastly, I only do guided challenges 1-2 times a year, so take advantage of this extra layer of support during the holiday season, especially if you need a refresher!  Our most successful mindful clients reinforce their behaviors by repeating the challenge (since you learn something new each time).  You will have access to the challenge information from November 1 - December 31, 2022 to make it through the holidays in a more mindful manner so that come January, you're not overwhelmed or feeling guilt, shame, or disappointment with yourself and how you ate or moved during the holidays.  ZERO guilt!

After eating yet another entire pizza solo throughout an evening, I finally realized I always eat seconds and thirds, finish bottles of wine in a few days and this was not normal. It was difficult to admit to myself that I binge eat, regardless how normal it may be. I am so thankful for you Jennifer and this Mindful Program, it's counter-culture to dieting. Eating what I want and listening to my body is liberating! I still have a long way to go, but it's sustainable - I can feel it.  I'm less scared to have things like pizza and ice cream hanging out in my house.  This is a BIG positive shift!

Eating as an antidote to stress or boredom, whether or not I'm hungry, often eating until the point of being overfull (mostly in restaurants or social situations). The Challenge skills helped me understand my eating behavior drivers and stop them, while still enjoying food more than ever!  The mindful principles I adopted have enabled me to eat more healthfully and truly enjoy food on another level.  PS:  I did this challenge to develop a healthier relationship to food rather than to lose weight, but I did notice my clothes getting a lot bigger.  Wow, a big shift is I learned how to pay attention to my body and (most of the time) eat when I’m hungry, and stop before I am stuffed. Double wow!

I have struggled with sugar cravings for most of my life...

I didn't know what to expect getting into this Challenge.  You hear "mindfulness" and know the basics, however this journey with you Jennifer really opened my eyes.  Now I see my food triggers and I'm not afraid to dive deeper to the roots.  This challenge has given me a better connection to my body and my emotions when it comes to food.  It's comforting to know you share your journey.  Your empathy and compassion taught me to be much kinder to myself.  I have a greater appreciation for life all due to your transformational Challenge.  Thank you!

I have a better connection to my body, food and emotions.

Remember, the ultimate goal is to walk away from this Program with 2-3 Mindful Eating Guidelines and personal eating skills that are big needle-movers for YOU!  Not doing the Program "perfectly" like a diet... no way, this is DO-ABLE!  And you have an EXTRA month access to all the videos, worksheets, and support!

A:  That's the beauty of this Mindful Program is that you actually have some wiggle room. While it's still my old "30-Day Mindful Eating Program, you actually have 60-days to complete it. This is perhaps the most important part - that you have FULL PERMISSION TO SKIP A DAY (OR DAYS) IF LIFE GETS HECTIC.  This is not considered a failure but an opportunity for you to observe how your relationship with food can shift when things go sideways or not as you planned.  The Mindful Eating Program will prepare you to move through life in a more intentional + mindful manner so that I can show you how to use your stress as a way to connect to your {IBW} with LESS stress  when things get hairy!!

Q:  My schedule is so hectic, I'm concerned that I can't do the challenge daily!  What happens if I fall behind?

"I lost my "intuitive eating voice" for about 2 years. I saw food as my enemy and meal times as the biggest stressor in my life. That is no longer the case. Jennifer's Mindful Eating Program is the most real and best thing you can do for your body. I'm only on day 10 out of 30 and my intuitive voice is back. I feel like I'm seeing everything in a different light and it's really incredible. Almost like romanticizing your life but through body intelligence.

I truly can't put into words how much this has changed my life so far. I used to be afraid to eat or not eat certain foods, for example, Fettuccine Alfredo, because of how heavy they were. Now, I can do that mindfully and in the best way possible (I know how to eat Fettuccine Alfredo now)! I quite literally dance in my seat when I take a bite of food and use Jennifer's techniques. Literally. And most importantly, I feel so satisfied and happy after every meal.

This program doesn't only apply to eating or food, but to yourself. It'll teach you how to slow down. How to truly listen to your body and not what society is telling you. And as I'm slowly trying to learn through this program, what it means to truly love yourself. And that doesn't mean feeling pretty everyday or ready to always tackle everything head on, but as Jennifer says, sometimes it's just placing your hands on your stomach, closing your eyes, and thanking every organ for keeping you going through this whirlwind of life.

Take care of your body by doing this program. You won't regret it and your life will be made so much better and, of course, more mindful!"

"The mindful eating skills I learned in the 30-Day Challenge is part of my daily life...
and I continue to learn more about myself and health as I accept myself gradually. I understand myself better, love myself and my body more. I acknowledge what is happening in my mind and body (hello IBW). I try new things, award my successes, and use my fails to grow. I am going to use the mindful eating tools learned in this life-changing challenge forever. It has been the best psychological breakthrough ever, but it is a long term process, especially for those with many years of disordered eating and body image struggles."

PRAISE from OUR CHALLENGERS

Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!

For the first time in my adult life, I am feeling there is hope for me to overcome my unhealthy relationship with food. I think I will need to repeat this challenge throughout the year to finally overcome my disordered eating patterns and feel happy and spiritually free around food.

Jan, Canton

Still feeling some effects of mindful eating.

I am still using the mindful eating principles and wisdom I learned in the April 30-Day Challenge and six month later I've lost 22 pounds practicing all the mindful eating skills that made the biggest difference with my mindless eating behaviors and habits.

Dr. Jenn, Woodstock

Please note: this is not a weight loss challenge - you should not rejoin the challenge if your expectation is weight loss. Some people, depending on their current habits, might lose weight once they tune into and honor their Intelligent Belly/Body Wisdom™.  Clients who lose weight during or after the challenge could have been eating or drinking more than their body needed before but now are mindfully listening to the wisdom of their body, especially true hunger and fullness cues.  Please understand that your body weight will fluctuate throughout your life which may or may not be influenced by eating behaviors and patterns, portion sizes, or types of foods consumed as well as time of day consumed. Weight loss is a bonus, not is the measuring stick of success or the ultimate goal of this challenge ever. Please be conscious of your intentions and let me know if you have any comments or concerns about any part of the challenge. I want your experience to be successful!
